An accident usually means loss of income and a lot of stress for you.
CABSHIELD understand this. If your vehicle is off the road due to an accident, you need it repaired quickly and with the minimum of fuss.
Comprehensive cover comes with a Claims Helpline. If you are involved in an accident, a call to the Helpline will guide you through the repair procedure. The Helpline is available 24 hours a day.

This is a separate policy from your taxi policy and contains many benefits including:
After an accident where you are to blame
- Incredibly, if you are involved in an accident that is your fault, you will have access to a temporary plated vehicle for up to 14 days. Where this is not possible, you will have access to a vehicle for social and domestic use. Alternatively, you may be offered £40 per day instead. This really is help when you need it most.
After an accident where you can claim from a third party
- A temporary plated vehicle will be available for you if you are involved in a non fault accident. Where this is not possible, you will have access to a vehicle for social and domestic use and your loss of earnings will be claimed against the third party.
- Your other losses such as taxi test fees, policy excess, meter change over, damage to your vehicle and belongings, etc will be claimed against a third party.
- If you, your driver or any of the passengers are injured
(or worse) as a result of the accident, a compensation claim can be made against the third party.
Other Great Benefits available to Club members
- Legal Defence. You can be represented following an event leading to a motor prosecution being brought against you.
- Taxi Drivers Licence Protection. You can be represented following a notice by your Licensing Authority to alter, suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew your Taxi or Private Hire drivers licence.
